First-ever Portal in Asia opens in BGC, Manila, joining the global artwork

Portals Organization is delighted to announce the successful launch of the first-ever Portal in Asia, the sixth Portal worldwide, now live in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Manila, Philippines. Designed as a pure window between distant countries and cultures, the Manila Portal now offers residents and visitors a way to meet fellow humans from around the world.

Unveiled on January 21st, the Manila Portal connects to a growing network of identical Portals, currently located in Vilnius (Lithuania), Lublin (Poland), Dublin (Ireland), Philadelphia (United States) and Ipswich (United Kingdom). Together, they serve as a bridge to a united planet, inviting humanity to meet above borders and differences.

“Portals come to life through people - a global community willing to look at one another with openness and curiosity,” said Benediktas Gylys, founder of Portals Organization. “As the Philippines welcomes its own Portal, it channels the energy of a country shaped by centuries of resilience, exchange and creativity. Manila’s cultural depth, warmth and character strengthen the shared vision we are building. Together, these cities form not only a network of sculptures, but a living bridge towards a more connected world.”

The launch of the Manila Portal marks a historic moment as the first-ever Portal in Asia, bringing the Philippines into a global growing network. By introducing Portals to Asia for the first time, it places BGC and the country at the center - connecting people in real time and creating new ways to share experiences, stories and cultures above all borders and all differences.

The city’s energy and character amplify the Portals mission, making it a place where residents and visitors alike can engage with the world in new and meaningful ways.

"We are delighted to introduce Portals to the Philippines and, for the first time, to Asia. At BGC, we draw inspiration from experiences that bring communities together and celebrate culture and diversity. With Portals and at BGC, we hope to create a new space for connection - one that not only engages our community, but also proudly shares the vibrancy and richness of Filipino culture with the world.” shares Enrique B. Manuel Jr., Chief Operating Officer, Bonifacio Global City.

The Manila Portal was made possible with the generous support of our partners: Excell Contractors and Developers Inc, Euroasia Marble & Granite, Habitus Design Group, United Neon, Globe at Home, Unionbank, CMC Contract Manufacturing Pte Ltd

In the coming months, more Portals will launch in Piauí (Brazil) and another country with its location yet to be announced, further expanding the global Portals Network connecting people across the globe.
