Piauí Portal

Unveiled in March 2026, the Piauí Portal is located on a beautiful coastline in Rua Pontal da Barra, Barra Grande, Piauí, Brazil. As the first-ever Portal in South America, it became the 7th sculpture in the global network of identical Portal sculptures. Being all located in the public space, Portals offers a real-time, unfiltered livestream, inviting people of different cultures to meet above all borders and differences.
Barra Grande, in Piauí, stands as an unspoiled destination where exceptional natural beauty converges with a tranquil and authentic way of living. Framed by the remarkable scenery and its pristine beaches, the region embodies a rare harmony between natural beauty and preservation. Here, sustainability is not just a concept but a lived practice, guiding tourism that respects and protects the environment while inviting visitors to fully immerse themselves in it. It is further distinguished by its rich cultural heritage, expressed through traditional cuisine, local craftsmanship and deeply rooted traditions that embody the cultural essence of Piauí. The genuine hospitality of its people fosters a sense of connection, offering visitors an experience that is both refined and deeply personal. From the dynamic energy of kitesurfing and the singular beauty of the guarás at sunset to moments of quiet contemplation by the sea, Barra Grande offers a seamless interplay between activity and repose. At its center, BG Village serves as a sophisticated gathering place, where “feet-in-the-sand” informality meets elevated gastronomy and a curated social atmosphere - capturing the essence of a destination where nature, culture and elegance coexist.
